1. Introduction
2022 China-Korea Seminar on Intelligent Materials Design and Application will be held on October 26 at Yan’an University, Yan’an, China. This event will be supported by the Shaanxi Association for Science and Technology and the School of Physics and Electronic Information, Yan’an University.
This Seminar will focus on intelligent materials design and application, and new energy. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the experts’ lectures will be delivered through online or digitalization tools.
The seminar aims to promote the advancement of relevant, deepen the exchanges between China and South Korea relevant experts, and broaden students' horizons.
The organizing committee of the seminar sincerely invites colleagues in advanced materials fabrication and application, thermal radiation transfer and transformation. Relevant universities and research institutes are all warmly welcome.

Bong Jae Lee
Ph.D. (Georgia Institute of Technology), Professor, Fellow of ASME
Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST), Department of Mechanical Engineering, Daejeon, South Korea.
His research interests include near-field thermophotovoltaic energy conversion systems, daytime radiative cooling, polariton-mediated thermal conductivity enhancement, and non-contact micro-thermometry. Research results are outstanding and have a strong international impact. He has published nearly 100 academic papers in international journals, including those published in Nature Communications, Physical Review Applied, Physical Review B, and many other prestigious international journals.

Xuegang Lu
Ph.D. (Xi’an Jiaotong University), Associate Professor
Xi’an Jiaotong University, School of Physics, Xi’an, China.
His research area is magnetic nanomaterials, bio-inspired optical metamaterials, and biomedical nanomaterials. He has published more than 50 academic papers in international journals such as Advanced Functional Materials, iScience, Small, ACS applied materials & interfaces, Journal of Materials Chemistry C, etc. He has presided over many national and provincial projects.

Jaeman Song
Ph.D. (KAIST), Assistant Professor
Kyung Hee University, Department of Mechanical Engineering, Gyeonggi-do, South Korea.
His research focuses on near-field thermal radiation, thermophotovoltaic energy conversion devices, Thermal storage, and Solar energy harvesting and management. He has published numerous articles in prestigious international journals, such as ACS Photonics, Physics Review Applied, Solar Energy Materials and Solar Cells, etc.

Tiandong Zhang
Ph.D. (Harbin Institute of Technology), Associate Professor
Harbin University of Science and Technology, School of electrical and electronic engineering, Harbin, China.
His research interests include: Energy storage dielectrics; Self-adaptive insulation materials; High thermal conductivity composites. He has taken of more than 10 scientific research projects, such as Natural Science Foundation of China. He has published about 50 academic papers and authorized 2 invention patents.

Hui Yang
Ph.D. (Peking University), Associate Professor
Southwest Jiaotong University, School of information science and technology, Chengdu, China.
She has hosted/participated in more than 10 projects from the National Natural Science Foundation of China, key R&D program of Sichuan Province, and National Key Research and Development Program of China. Her research interests include multi-dimensional multiplexing technology, new modulation technology, impairment compensation technology based on artificial intelligence, etc. She has published more than 30 papers in top journals and international conferences in the field of optical communication such as Optics Express, IEEE Journal of Lightwave Technology, IEEE Photonics Journal, etc.

His research fields are flexible sensors and 3D nanopatterning. He has published more than 18 academic papers, such as ACS Nano, Applied Physical Review, and Advanced Functional Materials. He has 3 international invention patents.

Lei Wu
Ph.D. Candidate
Southwest Jiaotong University, School of Mechanical Engineering, Chengdu, China.
He focuses on nanofabrication and application. He has published 17 papers, including ACS Applied Materials &Interfaces, Sensors & Actuators B: Chemical, Applied Surface Science. He chaired a Cultivation Program for the Excellent Doctoral Dissertation of Southwest Jiaotong University.
